Adobe illustrator Tutorials: How to Make a Ribbon
Hello guys, today im going to teach you in illustrator tutorials how to make a web ribbon, it is not very hard to make it, just we will make some shapes and some basic mask techniques, you have to draw just simple box and after this we will give it the shape of ribbon and then we’ll fill color in that object which we will create after it something have to use like Gaussian blue and some blending techniques, anyway lets start.
This is the final image we will create same like this.



Step 1
Open illustrator by double clicking and then go to file click on new create new document, enter 600 px width and same in hight after it go to advance button and select RGB color after it make sure “Align New Objects to Pixel Grid” is not cheked before clicking ok, after it go to (View > grid > Snap to grid) after it put the grid line after the every 5px, click ok.


Step 2
Select the ellipse tool draw it and its size should be 250px by 40px, fill it with the gradient opacity should be 50% after it click on Effect menu > Blur > Gaussian Blur radius should be 5px click ok now select the reactangel tool draw it 350 px by 50px give it black color and keep it same like the below image.



Step 3
Select the rectangle tool draw a box with 180px by 75px and fill it color and put the linier effect.


Step 4
Select rectangle again the go to the Object menu > path > Add anchor points now select the direct selection tool and then click the it center bottom edge on the object after it draw the node to up side.


Step 5
Now in this step draw a small box of the right and left side of the main object I mean ribbon which we have created in previous step, select direct selection tool and click to node and press delete.
